Dr. Berdj Stepanian is an independent contractor of 1800-FOOT-123. He has been in private practice since 1993. Currently, he is the Chief of Podiatry at New York Westchester Square Hospital. He is the Podiatric Medical director of Hyperbaric Oxygen at New Westchester Square Hospital. Dr. Stepanian has been Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery since 1995 and recertified in 2003. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery since 1995. In 2003, Dr. Stepanian also became Board Certified in Pedorthics. Dr. Stepanian was trained in the Bronx at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center where in his second year he was the appointed Chief resident. He has trained over 50 residents, and recently has started a residency program at New York Westchester Square Hospital. Dr Stepanian specializes in reconstructive foot surgery and ankle arthroscopy.
Dr Stepanian graduated surgical residency in 1993 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals. He did his doctoral work at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 1991. Undergraduate study was done at Hofstra University in Long Island.
Dr. Stepanian has always believed in giving back to the community. He has volunteered as the President of the Bayside United Soccer Club in Queens since 1994. He also teaches Sunday School at St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church since 2000. He enjoys fishing, boating, skiing and spending time with his family.
