Who Would You Rather Be Treated By...
Foot Doctors Straight Out Of Medical School At Your Local Clinic, Or Board Certified Podiatrists Each With Over 25 Years Of Experience Treating Patients And Training Other Doctors?

What is a Podiatrist?

A Podiatrist, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM), is the only health care professional whose total training focuses on the foot, ankle and related body systems. After obtaining an undergraduate degree, the podiatric doctor spends four years in a college of podiatric medicine to obtain a doctorate degree. Many podiatrists further their education by participating in a post-graduate residency program at an approved hospital or university. Following their doctorate degree, each podiatrist must pass national and state examinations in order to be licensed by the state in which he or she will practice.

The podiatric physician cares for people of all ages. If the American Board of Podiatric Surgery certifies your podiatric surgeon, he or she has successfully completed a credentialing and examination process and has demonstrated knowledge of podiatric surgery. This includes the diagnosis of general medical problems and surgical management of foot diseases, deformities, and trauma of the foot, ankle and related structures.

About our Doctors

The Family Foot Care Group performs over 2000 foot procedures per year and receives 1000 toll-free information calls per month regarding foot care. The group does arthroscopy and ambulatory foot surgery in their main surgical facility with a full anesthesiology team and 10 surgical nurses. Surgery is done on an "out-patient basis," which means that 100% of our surgical patients go home the same day.

The American Board of Podiatric Surgery certifies all of our doctors. And, our doctors also serve as adjunct professors in local Podiatric Colleges where they have been responsible for training over 100 podiatrists collectively.

The Doctors have spent many hours involved in volunteering time to their profession to ensure the profession moves forward in a positive healthy direction that directly benefits all patients.
